Dr. Lisa Salstein
Psychiatrist, Founder
Dr. Lisa Salstein, MD (she/her) is a Board Certified Psychiatrist who cares deeply for her patients and believes that compassion is the foundation of healing. Her approach is collaborative, thoughtful, and grounded in the belief that change is possible and that no one should feel alone in their struggles.
Dr. Salstein’s path to psychiatry began as a teenager, volunteering with a suicide prevention program. This early experience inspired a lifelong commitment to helping others. She earned her medical degree from the University of Massachusetts and completed her psychiatry residency at Mount Sinai Hospital, with a focus on advanced therapy training.
With a diverse background that spans medication management, multiple therapy modalities, neuroscience, and mental health research, Dr. Salstein brings a wide range of tools to support individuals facing challenges such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and life transitions. She works as a partner in your healing, integrating therapy and medication when needed to help you navigate obstacles and move toward a more fulfilling life.

Esther Crane
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP
Esther (they/them) is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, dedicated to serving each individual with compassion and understanding. Their goal is to help you feel empowered to live authentically and confidently in the world. If you're seeking a practitioner who truly values you, is committed to your mental well-being, and incorporates your unique experiences, they are here to support you on your journey.
Their approach is rooted in trauma-informed care and they take great satisfaction in helping clients navigate effective treatments for depression, mood disorders, anxiety, insomnia, neurodivergence, and other mental health challenges. One of their passions is working with the LGBTQIA+ community, creating a gender-affirming space that is safe and welcoming.
Jesahel Madfes
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, NP-c, PMHNP-BC
Jesahel Madfes, NP-C, PMHNP-BC (she/her) is a highly experienced and dually-certified healthcare provider specializing in women’s mental health, perinatal psychiatry, and LGBTQIA+ care. As both a Family Nurse Practitioner (certified since 2011) and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Jesahel brings a rare, holistic approach that integrates mental and physical health.
She has a strong clinical focus on supporting individuals through pregnancy, postpartum, and reproductive life transitions, including fertility journeys, pregnancy loss, and the adjustment to parenthood. She works with patients navigating anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, insomnia, and stress related to major life changes, with particular expertise in the perinatal period.
Jesahel practices using an evidence-based, collaborative, and patient-centered approach, with an emphasis on shared decision-making and thoughtful medication management.
She also has meaningful experience in gender-affirming care and LGBTQIA+ mental health, as well as sexual and reproductive health, and is committed to providing inclusive, affirming care.
Originally from Mexico City, Jesahel studied at UC Berkeley and earned her Master’s in Nursing from UCSF. Her commitment to equitable access to care extends globally, including work in perinatal and primary care settings in underserved communities.
Outside of work, Jesahel enjoys hiking with her dogs and partner, paddleboarding, and spending time with friends.
Amanda Spinella
Operations Manager
Amanda (she/they) is thrilled to support the team in delivering high-quality, compassionate care by ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly.
As Operations Manager, Amanda manages billing, oversees client intake, manages communications, and streamlines administrative workflows to create a seamless experience for both clients and clinicians. With a background in both organizational systems and care-centered work, Amanda brings a thoughtful, values-aligned approach to logistics, always centering accessibility, clarity, and efficiency.
When not behind the scenes at Salinda, Amanda is also a multidisciplinary artist and community organizer, committed to building spaces of healing, connection, and joy.
Sarah Morrison
Operations Assistant
Sarah (she/her) works as the operations assistant for Salinda Health, handling client intake and communications.
Growing up in coastal Connecticut, Sarah completed her B.A. in Environmental Studies from Fordham University, where she studied the intersection of environmental policy and social classes. Her background is working with small- scale organic vegetable farms in California, both with her hands directly in the soil as well as administrative support, including managing customer relations and large CSA programs. Sarah’s work is driven by the idea that mental health care is a basic human right, and supporting these systems are a foundational part in the steps towards a more just transition. As a queer woman, Sarah is excited to expand her skills into psychiatric care by providing empathetic and compassionate care to support clients and practitioners reach their goals!
When not in the office, Sarah enjoys long backpacking trips, traveling abroad, reading, knitting, and spending quality time with her partner and friends.
