What to Expect at Salinda Health:

We know reaching out for help can feel like a big step, but you don’t have to take it alone. Our mission is to make the process easier, kinder, and more accessible, so you feel understood and supported from the very first moment. With a team that works in partnership with you, we are committed to providing psychiatric care that is both clinically excellent and rooted in compassion.

1. Reaching Out

When you’re ready, you’ll connect with Amanda, our Operations Manager. She’ll help you figure out whether Dr. Lisa Salstein (she/her) or Esther Crane (they/them) is the best fit, confirm your insurance, and offer available appointment times.

The best way to reach out is to fill out the contact form on our website here: https://salindahealth.com/contact

2. Insurance & Payment

We’re in-network with Aetna, including Columbia’s Aetna plan.

Copays are due at each session.

If you have out-of-network coverage, we’re happy to provide Superbills to help with reimbursement. Many of our clients have success with this.

Out-of-pocket rates:

  • Dr. Salstein
    – $550: New Patient Consultation (~55 minutes)
    – $275: Follow-up (~25 minutes)

  • Esther Crane
    – $375: New Patient Consultation (~55 minutes)
    – $225: Follow-up (~25 minutes)

3. Before Your First Appointment

After booking, you’ll receive forms through our secure portal, Charm. Please complete:

  • Intake form (medications, allergies, etc.)

  • Policies and consent forms

  • Credit card authorization

4. Your First Session

Your initial consultation is about 55 minutes. You’ll have time to share your story, ask questions, and start shaping a care plan that feels right for you, whether that includes therapy, medication, or both.

We can offer a free 15-minute intake call with one of the providers or Amanda to answer any questions that you may have.

5. Ongoing Care

We offer follow-ups for:

  • Psychotherapy

  • Medication management

  • Gender-affirming support

  • LGBTQ+ mental health

  • Neurodiversity-affirming care for ADHD, executive function, and emotional regulation

All care is delivered via secure telehealth, so you can meet with us from anywhere in New York.

At Salinda Health, we believe that compassionate, inclusive psychiatric care should meet you where you are and grow with you over time. Our mission is to center people by creating a practice where every individual feels respected, supported, and understood. Whether you’re beginning your first session or continuing ongoing care, we’re here to walk alongside you with kindness, clinical expertise, and a deep commitment to your well-being. We look forward to speaking with you soon!
